Coconut Ladoo - With condensed milk - Easy Sweet Recipes

Coconut Ladoo is the easiest sweet to prepare even for beginners. With just 2 ingredients, this is such a quick recipe which can be made even in the last minute for any occasion. You can even include the older kids for making this recipe as they will enjoy the rolling part. This sweet is ideal to pack for friends and families. I prepared this sweet for last Diwali itself and tried it again today. The recipe is adapted from Nestle Milkmaid site. As Diwali is approaching, I wanted to post this easy recipe.

Coconut Ladoo Recipe

Makes  :  25 ladoos

Ingredients

  • Condensed milk  -  1 tin(I used Nestle milkmaid 395 g tin)
  • Dessicated coconut  -  5 cups

    Method

    1. Out of the 5 cups of coconut, keep aside 1 cup of coconut in a plate.
    2. Heat a non-stick pan, add the condensed milk and the remaining 4 cups of coconut.
    3. Keep stirring the mixture continuously in low flame.
    4. Once the mixture becomes a mass and doesn't stick to the pan, switch off the flame. This takes roughly about 4 to 5 minutes.
    5. Once the mixture is warm, make balls out of this and roll it in the remaining 1 cup coconut.
    6. When refrigerated, this stays good for 2 to 3 days.

    Notes

    • Dessicated coconut works fresh for this recipe. If using fresh coconut, dry roast it a bit to remove the moisture without changing color.
    • Use a non-stick pan for best results.
    • While rolling the balls, you may use little ghee to grease your hands if it's too sticky to roll. I didn't require ghee as it was easy to roll.

Try this easy to prepare sweet for this Diwali.
