Coconut Ladoo Recipe
Makes : 25 ladoos
Ingredients
- Condensed milk - 1 tin(I used Nestle milkmaid 395 g tin)
- Dessicated coconut - 5 cups
Method
- Out of the 5 cups of coconut, keep aside 1 cup of coconut in a plate.
- Heat a non-stick pan, add the condensed milk and the remaining 4 cups of coconut.
- Keep stirring the mixture continuously in low flame.
- Once the mixture becomes a mass and doesn't stick to the pan, switch off the flame. This takes roughly about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Once the mixture is warm, make balls out of this and roll it in the remaining 1 cup coconut.
- When refrigerated, this stays good for 2 to 3 days.
Notes
- Dessicated coconut works fresh for this recipe. If using fresh coconut, dry roast it a bit to remove the moisture without changing color.
- Use a non-stick pan for best results.
- While rolling the balls, you may use little ghee to grease your hands if it's too sticky to roll. I didn't require ghee as it was easy to roll.
