Vegetable Pulao - Easy Pulao Recipe

Vegetable Pulao - Easy to prepare one pot meal with the goodness of vegetables. This is a simple version of vegetable pulao which I regularly make at home. It doesn't involve any grinding and has only simple masala flavours. A simple raita and chips/vadam is sufficient for this yummy rice variety. Else you can pair it up with any spicy gravy. This is an excellent lunch box option which can be done within a short time. I make this frequently for my daughter's lunch box. Coriander thogayal is an easy to make thogayal variety. When you have a bunch of coriander leaves which is about to get dry, you can use it to make this dish. Even the stalks of the coriander leaves can be used. I have already shared a thogayal recipe made with mint leaves. This is just another variation, but I have added coconut in this.

This can also be mixed with plain rice or even used as a sandwich stuffing. By cooking in oil, this stays good for few days when refrigerated and also is a perfect option for travel purposes. Tomato Garlic Chutney - easy to prepare chutney variety which goes well with any breakfast dish. I already have a onion tomato garlic chutney posted earlier. I just skipped onions in that recipe and tried this. It turned out to be flavourful. Since we grind the paste and saute it well in oil, it can be stored for few days and can also be used for travel purposes.

Thokku is nothing but a thicker version of chutney which is mainly meant for travel and storage purposes. The recipe here uses tomatoes as the main ingredient. This is an easy to prepare thokku variety which goes well with all tiffin items and also curd rice. Since it is a no onion no garlic recipe, it can be used for festival days. We can prepare in bulk in advance and use it for travel purposes too.

Even though it has the same ingredients as the regular onion & tomato chutney, the difference is in the amount of red chillies which makes it really spicy. So this chutney is for all spice lovers. Vegetable biriyani is an easy to prepare one pot meal and is loaded with flavours. Biriyani is made in a spicy manner as compared to pulao. This is a simple way to make kids eat vegetables. Though it tastes great when served hot, it is still ideal to pack for lunch boxes and travel as well. The recipe I've provided here is how i usually prepare at home using pressure cooker. I regularly make this dish and it is an easy to prepare dish even for beginners.

Tawa Pulao - Easy one pot meal

I came to know about this recipe from this blog .  This pulao is named so because it is prepared in the same tawa as pav bhaji. This is a popular mumbai street food. This dish is prepared using pav bhaji masala and hence it totally has a different flavour from the regular biriyani or pulao. I modified the original recipe to suit our family' s taste. A simple raita will be sufficient to pair with this. This recipe can also be prepared with left over rice.
