Strawberry Milkshake



Strawberry milkshake is an easy to prepare milkshake. This is healthier when compared to the soft drinks and other shakes made with artificial powders. Since my daughter loves strawberries, I make this once in a while. It is a perfect drink on a hot day.


Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

Serves  :  1 - 2 people


Ingredients


  • Strawberries  -  5 big
  • Boiled and chilled milk  -  1 cup (I used full fat milk)
  • Sugar  -  2 tbsp (adjust as required)
  • Strawberry/Vanilla Ice cream  -  a scoop (optional)

    Method

    1. Wash the strawberries and remove the green leafy part of it.
    2. Roughly chop the strawberries and add it in the mixie/blender.
    3. Add around 1/4 cup of milk first and blend the strawberries. Once it is pureed, add the remaining milk and sugar and blend until smooth and creamy.
    4. You can add a scoop of strawberry or vanilla ice cream while blending. This makes the milkshake richer and creamier. 
    5. Serve the milkshake chilled.
                    
                           

    Notes


    • Always choose ripe and sweet strawberries while making this shake. 
    • Adjust the quantity of sugar according to your preference.
    • Adding ice cream makes the shake creamier. But it is purely optional. You can either add it while blending or serve on top of the plain milkshake, as shown in the below picture.
