Avocado Milkshake - Avocado Milkshake with Banana

Avocado Banana Milkshake -  a healthy and filling milkshake with the goodness of avocado and banana. This can be easily prepared when you have over ripe banana and avocados. We started buying avocados when we were in Sydney. My hubby used to buy it as it is has lot of nutritional value. But me and my lil one were not big fans of it because of its bland taste. So we started making milkshake using this fruit. When the bananas and avocados are over ripe, you can make this milkshake. You can even skip sugar as banana provides the perfect sweetness for this shake.

This milkshake is so filling and hence makes for an easy breakfast option or as an after school snack for kids. It is a perfect and refreshing summer drink.

  • Banana  -  2 medium sized
  • Boiled and chilled milk  -  2.5 cups (I used full fat milk)

    Method

    1. Cut the avocado in the middle using a knife. Gently remove the seed part and scoop the pulp using a spoon.
    2. Chop the banana into small pieces.
    3. Take the avocado, chopped banana and 1/2 cup milk and blend in a mixie/blender. Once it is pureed, add the remaining milk and blend until smooth and creamy.

    Notes

    • Always choose ripe avocados while making this shake. Ripe one will be dark in colour and will be soft when you touch. Also choose over ripe banana as it helps to avoid the addition of  sugar.
    • Though I used full fat milk here, you can make this shake with low fat milk too.

Try this easy and healthy milkshake!!
